Creative Exploration Workshops
Creative Explorations help to shape a space where we can slow down, and spend some time with our own souls. It provides us with a time to intentionally delve into ideas, concepts and questions that can possibly help us to unearth buried wisdom and find some focus and clarity.
What workshops are available?
These workshops provide opportunities for Creative Explorations on a large range of subjects. All available workshops are shown below. Simply scroll over the pictures and the title of the workshop will appear. Click on the picture of the one you’re interested in, and it will take you to a page with a detailed description of the workshop. And if you are interested in exploring an idea, concept, or question that is not listed, you are welcome to contact me with information about what you’d like to explore and I will be happy to create a workshop tailored to your needs.
New to Excavate? If the full list of workshops is a little overwhelming to absorb, here are a few suggestions for your first Creative Exploration.
How long will it last?
They are usually around 3 hours unless otherwise specified. However, the time can easily be modified to be either shorter or longer depending on your specific needs.
What supplies are needed?
All supplies that are necessary for sessions will be provided. The only items that someone might be asked to bring would be personal mementos or photos. A large selection of supplies will be available, but of course, anyone is welcome to bring anything they would like to contribute to their creative expression.
What will happen?
At the workshop, I will talk for a few minutes about the creative process and the theme of the workshop. After that, I will give basic instructions on the specific project everyone will be working on. There will always be great latitude as to how the project is accomplished in order to allow for each person to find their own unique way to express their process. While everyone is working on their project, I am constantly available to answer questions and help people reach whatever they want to accomplish during their exploration.
Who can attend a workshop?
Anyone who wants to! I will hold workshops that are open to anyone who registers. Depending on the size of the space where the workshop is held, there may be a limit as to the number of participants. If that is the case, the number of participants that can register will be listed.
I am also available to lead workshops at another location of your choosing. If you are interested in having a workshop for yourself and your friends, I will be happy to coordinate that with you. You will be able to choose what workshop you would like to do, and the length of the workshop can be altered if that is needed.
Can workshops be a part of another event?
Absolutely! If you are directing your own retreat or event, and you would like for me to come and lead a workshop as a part of it, I would be happy to talk to you about that. If you have a specific theme or idea that you’d like to explore, just let me know and I can create an Exploration tailored to the needs of your group. If you have a facility where you regularly hold workshops and/or retreats and would like for me to come lead a workshop at your location, please contact me and let me know what you are interested in scheduling and we can discuss the details at that time.
What is the cost of the workshop?
Pricing will be contingent on the size of the group and whether travel for me is involved. Please feel free to contact me and let me know what kind of workshop you are interested in scheduling and we can talk about the details at that time. Individual workshops that I schedule myself will have the price listed on the registration page.
